About the Camps

Advanced Leadership Training School (ALTS)

ALTS is a North/West Lower Michigan Synod and Southeast Michigan Synod sponsored program for high school students who have completed 10-12 grade. This is for students who have attended LTS or have already been trained in Peer Ministry. The week is spent in a community of growing leaders while enhancing their Peer Ministry skills. We challenge each student to use these skills in their congregation/community and have them make a commitment to what they wish to bring home.

(For youth who have completed grades 8-12)

Bass Lake is a Christian Music Festival for high school aged youth which provides an “outside the box,” grace-filled experience of the Christian faith! Through great music and unique learning opportunities (including workshops, demonstrations, fellowship, worship, and Bible studies) campers will share the Gospel with senior high youth from all backgrounds. Join us in the beautiful outdoor setting of Michi-Lu-Ca in a relaxed and community-centered atmosphere. Confirmation Camp

(For youth who have completed grades 6-8, or as your congregation defines its confirmation program.)

Confirmation camp offers young adults a time and place to explore faith issues in an intentional Christian community. Swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, low and high ropes challenges, and singing around the campfire are part of the week-long adventure. Campers will learn about themselves, make new friends, and grow in faith. Confirmands attend confirmation camp with their Church group along with an adult leader. Individual registrations are accepted and we’ll partner your camper with an attending Church group.

ELCA National Youth
Gathering

The Gathering is a major ministry of journeying and new life in community for high school-age youth of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Every three years, the Spirit calls diverse and gifted young people and adults to this transforming way of being Church and living in God’s amazing grace.

The theme, Jesus Justice Jazz, blends the rich faith history, diverse cultures, and arts of New Orleans. It will stretch our understandings of what it means to live in relationship and service with each other in the manner of Christ—for life!

Family Camps

Let the beauty of God’s creation and the joy of Christian fellowship relax and renew you this summer! For all ages and backgrounds, Family Camp is designed with staffing and programs to maximize your vacation time. We take care of the meals (no planning, cooking, or washing dishes!) and a variety of activities for one low price. There are designated counselors for children and teens who will provide them with activities and oversight while adults enjoy some “kid-free” time.

Whether it’s campfires, swimming, canoeing, snorkeling in our clean, spring-fed lakes, watching the stars come out at night, archery, hiking, touring, low or high ropes challenges, Bible studies, horseback riding or golfing – we have the activity for you. (Some of these activities are off-site and may require an additional fee.) Of course, napping in a hammock or reading a book are options as well!

Leadership Training School (LTS)

LTS is a North/West Lower Michigan Synod and Southeast Michigan Synod sponsored program for high school students who have completed 9-12 grade. If you have students who have leadership potential and would like to grow in their faith and leadership skills, this is for them!

The week is spent in a community of growing leaders while being trained in Peer Ministry. We ask that only two youth (one male, one female) from each congregation attend.

Michigan Gathering

All Saints senior high youth attend the Michigan Gathering each year, between Christmas and New Year’s. The Michigan Gathering is an opportunity for groups of Lutheran youth with adult chaperones from all over Michigan and some from Ohio to gather in Christ at the Holiday Inn South in Lansing for three days of fun, worship, spiritual growth, and much more.

The Gathering features worship time, key-note speakers, skill shops, small groups, and a lot of recreational options all focused on a new theme each year.

Living Waters Ministries Camp Program

Living Water Ministries Camp Program is a safe place for all of God’s children to experience intentional community centered in Christ where they are formed in their faith, developed as leaders, and equipped as servants of the gospel. This approach to our work has world-changing implications as participants experience the love of Christ in each member of the community, and return home to share that same love with others.
