What is joy?
Joy isn’t dependent on circumstances but instead is a belief rooted in the truth of who God is. Just as Jesus found his deepest joy in relationships, so too can we as we spend time with others, serve with kindness, and cultivate community.
This week I invite you to reach out to three people you have been thinking about or who come to mind as you pray. You can share a meal or visit with them, call, text or send a card but somehow be the face of God and show them that they matter to you.
I am guilty of thinking of people frequently and putting off that visit or call and too much time goes by, you might have the same experience. If so you likely know that when we do reach out time doesn’t matter and we feel blessed in turn. God finds joy in relationship, isn’t it wonderful that our God so loves us He wants us to feel that same joy?
