From the Interim Senior Pastor

“Happy Good Friday, Pastor!”  Now, I don’t know about you, but to me this sounds very strange.  Let me tell you the story.  When I was in seminary, I had the opportunity to work part-time in the library in town.  Several Gettysburg college students worked there as well.  One of them, named Meerdad, was from India.  Meerdad was a Muslim, but was also very curious about the Christian faith, and was always asking me questions.  In fact, even though I was still a student, he used to call me ‘Pastor’.

From the Property Committee

The property committee now has their “to do” project list on the All Saints website! Go to www.myallsaints.com/property and check out the list, and as always, your help to work on this list of tasks is welcome and appreciated.

And as a reminder, for all who use the church building for meetings, events, and activities: PLEASE remember to clean up kitchen items, papers, food wrappers, toys, books, etc. in the areas you and/or your group have used before leaving the building.

Thank you for helping to be good stewards of our church space.

Teen Church - What's the Buzz?

You may have heard the buzz lately about something called “Teen Church” and are wondering what’s it all about?  In an effort to capture the spirit and enthusiasm of joyous worship as experienced at Youth Quake, The Gathering, and Camp; a group of youth, along with a few adult mentors are working on producing a Sunday morning worship service for teens to be held in the parish house basement beginning in April.  This worship service will be developed, produced and led by ASLC youth.

Relay for Life

I Relay for my father...Who do you relay for?

So many of us have been affected by cancer. A loved one, a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, or even yourself. This is the year that many of us are joining forces to help the fight against cancer. Team All Saints is on its way to making strides this year at the Hartland Relay for Life event at Hartland High School on May 15-16.

Stephen Ministries

The next time you are in church prior to the service starting, take a look around you.  Look at the person next to you. Don’t talk to them, just look. Look at the person behind you, in front of you.  Across the isle from you. In fact try to look at everyone in the sanctuary.

Little Saints Christian Preschool News

Little Saints is Growing! This children's ministry is growing and for the remainder of this school year we will continue to serve fifty-nine families in our community.  With four classrooms we have the ability to serve 64, so we are almost at capacity!  This is an incredible blessing and watching the children grow and develop - and seeing their joy in learning about Gods love for them is a wonderful gift that we have been given.

Recycling Update

In December, All Saints received a check for $68.10, and saved 14.16 cubic yards of landfill space from our green paper recycling bins in the parking lot. Thanks to all, and keep recycling those paper products (junk mail, magazines, newspapers, office and school paper, etc.)!

Reciepts Wanted

If you shop at VG’s or Colasanti’s Market please save your receipts so All Saints can receive cash back. We only need the bottom portion of VG’s receipts that show the community share points. Colasanti receipts must be from the current year only. Please leave them in the clear box on the windowsill in the hallway. Thank you.
