Do You Know the Good News?

Jeff Moyski was June’s recipient of the WOW award. It was noted that besides being a father, having full time employment, and attending school, he still finds time to give fully of himself to youth programming. The giver, Claire Hardy, noted that he is a great model and mentor to the youth. Now if we could just clone Jeff!

From the Interim Senior Pastor

Pastor's Corner - Pelle's Thoughts
by Pastor Pamela Hansen

Recently Pr. Pam spent some time at St. Augustine’s House, which is a Lutheran monastery in Oxford, MI. Now that I come to think of it, it would have been good to join her for this retreat. But when she asked me to come along, I refused because I figured that I would be a pretty bored teddy bear.

Recycling Update

Remember, When you are cleaning and organizing, bring your paper to All Saints. You are helping out the environment and raising funds for the church at the same time. It's a good place to bring old magazines and unwanted paperback books when the basement gets cleaned out. If you want to shred old bills or paperwork just bag it and throw it all in. Staples and tape are no problem but we can't accept cardboard. This month through our paper recycling program, the church was paid $17.46, and saved 10.92 cubic yards of landfill space!

Part-Time Church Musicians Needed

Two positions are available immediately, one at All Saints Lutheran Church in Hartland, Michigan, and another one at South Lyon Power & Light in South Lyon, Michigan.

Update on the General Manager Position

Please accept this letter as serving 3 distinct purposes. First of all, it is the report I promised you when you allowed me to begin service as General Manager of All Saints. Secondly it is my expression of appreciation to you for allowing me that opportunity and supporting my efforts as such. Thirdly, it is my resignation and suggestion for going forward in my service to All Saints. I’ll be a succinct as possible so as to not laden you with a long read while being as clear as possible in my communication.

All Saints Service Directory

We are looking for members who own their own business or work for a business that provides a service to their customers. We would like you to be in our service directory, a publication which would list all of those business owners and service providers in order to inform the congregation of all the services available from members of All Saints. Please look for the basket on the counter in the narthex and drop your business card and a description of the services you offer into the basket. The directory will be updated twice a year, in August and in February. Questions? Please contact Sonja Markwart. Email: sonjamariem@yahoo.com or Phone: 248-887-9513.

Council Member Contact List

Do you have a question, comment or concern? Do you know who to turn to? Council! Yes, that’s right! Council was elected by the congregation to lead the congregation and make decisions regarding the church. In order to effectively do that, council needs feedback and they would love to hear from you.
