Do You Know the Good News? Right under your nose, at your very own All Saints. In June we celebrated more additions to our All Saints’ family: On Father’s Day, June 19th, Oren Isnael Campbell joined the family of God through Holy Baptism. He was brought by his parents, Jason and Laura Campbell, big sister Ayla, grandparents Steve and Pam Stapula, great grandmother, Kaye Stapula, and uncle and soon to be aunt Mike Stapula and Monica, one big happy family that takes up the good part of a row every Sunday. What a blessing! Thank you for supporting your All Saints Life Savers in their fight against cancer. At our 2nd annual Relay for Life, the team walked for 24 hours, engaged in fellowship, and braved the elements. The team has raised over $1200 to date and donations can still be made up until August 31st at www.main.acsevents.org or see Heidi Mills, Shannon Hammond, or Len Hammond. Your Council wants you to know that things are looking up at All Saints. Check out the financial updates listed in the weekly Herald. The flooring for the parish house has arrived. We are really entering the final stages of completion before the pastoral family can move in. A move in of September is projected and lots of fun is in the works! Here’s to having fun at the Progressive dinner on July 16, a great All Saints’ tradition, returned. As of the beginning of July we have 24 youth attending Lutheran camps this summer and the number just keeps growing. Thank you for supporting your youth through all of their delicious and fun fundraising. Let’s watch those seeds grow as they bring the enthusiasm back. The high school youth are getting ready to start a year of preparations for their upcoming National Gathering in 2012, an event of fellowship, outreach, and mission with other Lutheran youth across the nation. The plants are up in God’s Victory garden! Come see what’s growing behind the pole barn and feel free to try and plant a patch there yourself. So far pumpkins, beans, potatoes, beets, and cucumbers are to be found. Your Good News team is really hoping this idea will grow and GROW. Know of more? I know there’s something I missed!
