MCL Has an Exciting Event Planned

The Managing a Christian Lifestyle Committee (MCL) has scheduled an exciting series of events that start in June.  We will be hosting “More Than Money Matters” at All Saints.  This is a values based money management workshop series that focuses on personal finances and is presented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.  It offers information and tools that can help you build a more secure future.  The workshops are presented in six ninety minute sessions.  Each session covers a different topic:

Stewardship and values
Communicating about money
Setting goals
Credit and debit
Finding money to save
Budget and net worth

We have scheduled these to begin Tuesday, June 15th from 7:00 to 8:30.  They will follow weekly at the same time with the exception of July 6th, as many take vacations during that week.

This program has won national recognition and there is absolutely no cost to either the individuals or the congregation.  We will be opening this to the community so please invite your family, friends and neighbors to attend with you.  Information on registration will be coming shortly and will be required to assure that enough materials will be on hand and that proper seating has been made available.

Our preview of the materials, and feedback we have received for folks who attended in the past, shows that this could be a great benefit to all who attend.  Who at this time in Michigan couldn’t use some financial pointers?
