Minutes from the April Council Meeting: April 15, 2010
Pastor Mary opened the meeting with a devotion and prayer.
OFFICERS REPORT: Mission Investment fund has agreed to reduce monthly payments for 6 months, there is a condition that All Saints run a Capital Campaign for the purpose of Mortgage Debt Reduction.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Committee reports were submitted to council members prior to the meeting. A few highlights:
There will be a hymn sing either June 6th or June 13th. Both of these dates, Pastor Mary is scheduled to be out of town.
Congregational Life will host a reception on May 9th when Bishop Marsh is visiting.
Good News Team is working on an outreach project, and proposes a Community Enrichment Series, If you are interested in helping with this project, contact Bob Duman.
Social Concerns states there is a need to update the time and talent sheets.
The Property Committee prepared the Parish House for the group “Captive Free”, the group stayed in the house the night of April 15. The next big project is the Rummage Sale to be held May 22, 2010.
MCL has as committee of 14 dedicated volunteers and they are working on some big plans including a fall Stewardship Campaign.

Minutes from the May Council Meeting: May 13, 2010
Pastor Mary opened the meeting with a devotion and prayer.
OFFICERS REPORT: The MCL team and the Financial Oversight Committee is working together to host a Capital Campaign. Mission Investment Fund (our mortgage holders) require a separate operating fund and building/mortgage payment fund. South Lyon Power and Light will have their first Confirmation Class Sunday November 21, 2010.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Committee reports were submitted to council members prior to the meeting. A few highlights:
WAMO is passing out surveys to the congregation to poll the congregation regarding the best time and date for a third worship service. Plans are in the works.
Congregational Life will host a bake sale fundraiser during the rummage sale on May 22, 2010.
Good News Team will be setting up a Community Enrichment Series for the coming Fall.
Social Concerns will be participating in the Million Dollar Food Kids Against Hunger Program.
The Property Committee is focused on the Rummage Sale to be held May 22, 2010,
MCL and Financial Oversight Committees will be running a Capital Campaign. The Synod recommends a company run a campaign however it was found to be cost prohibitive with programs running around $7,500.
MCL will be hosting the Thrivent program “More than Money Matters” this summer. It is a program that is free for all participants. Congregants will be encouraged to attend and invite guests.
LITTLE SAINTS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL: Theresa Kull presented an update on the preschool and asked 3rd party present a financial plan to the council in the fall.
