All Saints Life Savers - Relay for Life - May 21 & 22
Theme: A Day In Paradise
Have you found your reason to relay? I relay for my father. I relay for those that have lost their battle. I relay for those that are fighting their battle right now. I relay for those that I hope will never have to hear those words, “you have cancer.”
Sunday, May 1 and May 8, we’ll have our official All Saints team kick-off after each worship service. Sign up to walk, donate gear toward our campground, purchase and decorate your luminaries, find out ways you can spotlight YOUR ministry at the Relay event, ask questions.
Ways to Join the team:
Come, join the Relay for Life team, the All Saints Life Savers and walk for someone you love and care about. There are two ways to get started:
- Register online at the official Hartland Relay for Life website: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/allsaintslifesavers.
When you register online by April 25, you will receive the official event t-shirt.
- Contact Heidi Mills for a paper copy of the registration form: 734.645.5540 or heidi2u2@aol.com or in person on most Sunday mornings between worship services.
Once you have registered, begin by asking your friends, neighbors, family, & co-workers, for donations via your personal Relay for Life web page.
Team Update:
6 members registered online (facebook is great for relaying information, but not a recognized tool for being registered for the event).
$50.00 in donations toward our team goal of $2,000.00.
Ways to be involved:
Walk laps, donate supplies, set-up camp, tear-down camp, transport tables & chairs from church to the campground and back to church, decorate camp, cheer on your teammates, sell a product or service to raise donations at event, purchase your $5 Foot-long or $10 Foot-long & Luminary combo, help fill our ministry educational table with information, raise money toward the team and your personal goal.
Donate:
Pop-Up Tents (3), Large Enclosed Camping Tent (1), Water (2 cases), Snacks, Relay themed decorations for camp (A Day in Paradise), Donate whatever amount of time you can from 5 minutes to the full 24 hours to supplies to prayers.
Activities at Relay:
Survivor & Caregiver laps, Survivor brunch, Team recognition for high donation levels, Fun laps, Silent Auction, Candlelight Ceremony, Luminary lap, Face Painting, Memory Garden to reflect & pray, Various fun laps, Team fundraising, Bonding in a way that cannot be expressed in words.
