Little Saints Christian Preschool News

The children of Little Saints seem to bursting at the seams as they "spring" into the newest season.  Spring is in the air and it is also impacting the energy levels of many children - stop by any day to see the excitement in the air!  Each classroom is busy planning for their upcoming Mother's Day Tea events.  Each day on May 4-7 a different classroom takes turns in holding a tea for their mother's.  The events are beautifully created and are full of surprises designed to tug at any mother's heart!  The tears of joy are aplenty that week!
April has been a month to learn about bugs and the season of Spring.  In May we make a nice transition to focusing on farm animals and pets.  Coming on May 24-25 the children will be holding Pet Parades each morning where they will have the opportunity to share their own favorite pets and parade them thru our parking area.  Please feel to attend either morning at 9:30 sharp.
Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00 will be our closing ceremony and Graduation program.  On that evening we will celebrate with 32 children who are moving on to further their education journey and another 26 children will say their good-byes until they return next fall.  Please join us for this celebration event of song and cake.
This graduating class is exciting in that we will now have graduated over 100 children in our community.  Combined with the number of three-year-olds that have also had an opportunity to learn about God's love through Christ - we feel blessed to know that this ministry is making a difference in the lives of so many children!
Beginning in September 2010, Little Saints will make a slight change in our name and become "Little Saints Christian School".  We are adding another classroom for PreK children.  This program is designed for children who have completed a preschool experience and are age eligible for Kindergarten but due to development or a late birthday, their family has decided to give them more time prior to entering their K-12 journey.  This program will be limited to just 10 students and we are blessed to have Mrs. Manross take on this teaching opportunity.
Mrs. Kathleen Karwoski (member of All Saints) will be joining Little Saints in the fall as the teacher of the Red Room (4-year-olds).  Mrs. Karwoski is replacing Mrs. MacLean.  Mrs. MacLean has been with Little Saints for almost four school years.  She has contributed to this ministry in many ways and we remain grateful for the impact she has made.  Also joining our staff in the fall will be Mrs. Denise Clarey (current Sunday School Superintendent) as teacher for the Green Room (3-year olds). Our current Green Room teacher, Mrs. Olsen, will move to the Purple Room (4-year olds) in the fall.

News from the Red Room
The children came back from Spring break with smiles on their faces and were happy to see their friends.  I missed them and enjoyed hearing about all the places they went over break.  We started a unit on Zoo animals.  This month we will have reached our goal of one hundred days of being in school. The children brought in one hundred small items and we will be counting and graphing them.  We will end of special day with a cake.
The children will also be busy preparing for our Mother's Day Tea that we celebrate with our Moms.  They will learn new songs and prepare special gifts and crafts to present to their parent.   This is such a joy to pamper and treat our Moms with gifts of love.  The children are going to be busy.

News from the Purple Room
We have been “busy as bees” learning about bugs and insects and flowers. Springtime brings a lot of wonderful blessings. We have been practicing our songs for our Mother’s Day Tea. Our theme this year is “A Walk in the Garden….” The children can not wait to surprise their mothers with all the wonderful projects we have created for them! Please stop by and take a peek in our room and see what is blooming! We look forward to
seeing you!
