Do YOU Know the Good News?

Here we grow again!
Please take time to meet and greet our newest disciples Re and Gary Danczyk and The Kahls, Will, Melanie, Adam, and Nathan, who formally joined us on Palm Sunday.  The Kahls attend 8:30, with Melanie sharing the gift of song and the entire family sharing the gift of smiles. The Danczyks attend at 11:00.  Re has a heart for gardening, children, and baking.  Gary has a heart for stewardship, property, and gardening.  We are blessed to have them in our midst.

Additionally, we have welcomed four new lives to the family God through the sacrament of Baptism.  On the blessed day of Easter, Kennedy Hix, granddaughter of Donna and Rick Sanglier, was brought for Baptism by her parents, Greg and Christina Hix.  Also on Easter, Joel Hernandez, grandson of Bev Weiss, was brought for Baptism by his mother Judy Hernandez and brothers, Joshua and Jacob.  On April 11th, Angel and Edgar Potter were brought for baptism by their parents Martin and Julie Potter, fellow disciples of All Saints this January.  Please find time to welcome and love on these newest additions.

On April 25th, four individuals received their first communion.  Please congratulate Carolina Curcuru, Ellie Smith, Josie Smith, and Lorie Smith on joining us at the Welcome Table from here on out.

Our Adopt-A-Highway crew practiced stewardship of our local area by cleaning the road out in front of the church on April 17th.  This effort coordinated by Bill Johnston happens three times each year.  Thanks Bill and crew for a beautified road to travel.

Our semi-annual Mom2Mom sale was held on April 17th and this sale was by far
our biggest yet.  We had over 320 people come through our doors PLUS more than
27 vendors.  In total, the event raised over $1,250 plus we will receive $400 in
matching funds from Thrivent.  This time the sale was hosted by Little Saints Christian Preschool, but is open to ALL ministries of the church.  Watch for more information on
this fall’s sale.

Little Saints Christian Preschool and Social Concerns have partnered to support the Kids Against Hunger drive to be held on May 8th.  As a group we raised $3004.06.  This number includes a $700 matching funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and some very generous fundraising by many of you.  Thank you for all you have done to make a difference in the lives of children both locally and around the world.  The money raised translates to the 10,728 meals that we will assemble on May 8th, yes, that’s over 10,000 meals on 1 day!  Come join the wonder.

All Saints is participating in the Hartland Relay for Life on May 15-16th at Hartland High School.  We’re calling ourselves the All Saints’ Life Savers as we Celebrate. Remember. and Fight Back until cancer no longer afflicts anyone.  To date we have raised over $1,200 and hope to keep raising more!  Join us in our “$5 foot long fundraising drive; the $5 drive that has 0 calories.

Julie Markwart was the most recent recipient of the WOW award for letting God’s light shine through her dedicated and varied service through her musical and artistic gifts.  If you are enjoying worship, odds are Julie has had a part in making it happen.  Likewise, it there is something crafty going on, Julie can be found with busy hands and a joyous heart.  Thanks Julie.
