From your "Office Staff-er"
Well, I went and did it - accepted a position with Five Sparrows, LLC who I've been working with since December as my second job 6-8 hours a week. Now they are ready for me to add to my time and responsibilities with them. A great opportunity for me and my family; exciting, learning new cool things, meeting new people, with opportunity for advancement and increases in my salary in the future.
Currently, my position is approved in the budget for 25 hours per week. I would like to stay on staff at All Saints for 5 hours per week to keep up my worship support responsibilities from home, and present a great opportunity for another person to work in the church office 20 hours per week doing the other tasks included in my job. This would be effective May 1st. I'll stay on in my current position through April 30th, giving All Saints time to advertise the position, interview, and hopefully do some training with the new employee.
I'm not leaving the All Saints Congregation, I was a member before I was on staff, and will continue to be a member. Maybe even more active in ways I used to really enjoy!
I'll miss being in the church office, it's been a great job I've loved for ten years. But God has provided opportunity not just for one family, but for two. What a great opportunity in this economy to be able to provide another family with a new job - and a good one too!
It is important to me to make this staff switch/adjustment go smoothly. Since All Saints is also my church family, it MATTERS to me that the new office staff person gets to enjoy the warmth and love of the congregation that has always been shown to me, and is equipped and prepared to serve in their new job.
And now –
