We have newly installed Managing a Christian Lifestyle (MCL) (think Stewardship) co chairs, whose gifts will greatly enrich all of us as they help us become better stewards of all that we have been given.

7 youth are starting in Confirmation at South Lyon Power and Light (All Saints’ South) with expected Confirmation to happen in November 2010.

Little Saints Christian Preschool and Social Concerns have partnered to support the Kids Against Hunger drive to be held on May 8th where we will pack 10,000 meals in one day to feed the hungry around the world, including right here in Southeastern Michigan.  This is also a Thrivent sponsored event.

A new working model, that grew out of Robin Abbott’s sermon on 2/28 about a Program sized church, is posted in the narthex visually showing how we as the church are working together to reach the world.  Watch for this model to appear in your Ministry Catalog and feel free to let us know what needs to be added.  God and the mission are at the center as we take that and shine God’s light out into the world.

All Saints is participating in the Hartland Relay for Life on May 15-16th at Hartland High School.  We’re calling ourselves the All Saints’ Life Savers as we Celebrate. Remember. And Fight Back until cancer no longer afflicts anyone.  Interested in finding out more?  There are many varied ways to be involved.

We have a freshly formed financial oversight team whose experience in business, finance and aspects of banking will help us be monetarily responsible. Thank Mike Hoffman for agreeing to lead this group.

Creative Saints in Fellowship (CSIF) made and donated 20 fleece scarves, 20 fleece hats and 25 fleece mittens to Grace Centers for Hope.  Feeling creative?  Join them first Monday of the month, from 1-3 p.m.  It’s where creativity meets mission and outreach!

Heart Healthy Month in February was a big success with 26 blood pressures screened.  Stay healthy.

Your All Saints’ Mission Team continues to do outreach and is currently focusing more in our own back yard.  A group of 10 went to Spirit of Hope in Detroit on March 21 to assemble food bags for the homeless and then join together in worship.  Then on March 27 a group of 10 went to help at Gleaners Food Bank in Howell. 

Louise Holtz was the most recent recipient of the WOW award for letting God’s light shine through her dedicated and varied service both behind the scenes and in leadership.  If Louise has a heart for something, she steps up, contributes, and makes it up happen!  Thanks Louise.
