Do YOU Know the Good News?
- Over $40 has been earned for the church just by those who use goodsearch.com as their search engine in trying to find needed information on the internet. This resulted from over 3000 searches. Give it a try and watch this amount grow!
- March’s WOW award went to Maria Spencer for the tremendous job she did in directing our well received Lenten drama series. She has truly let God’s light shine through her and her gifts.
- Our fellowship groups are thriving and growing. Since the beginning of the year the 20-40 somethings, 40-60 somethings, Silver Saints, and women’s groups have met and played games, had a wine tasting, gone to the theatre, and played Crazy Bunco.
- 16 men attended the latest men’s retreat for a time of fellowship and learning.
- As part of our midweek Lenten offerings, enough was put in the plates to buy a cow for a needy community abroad through the Heifer project. See Carol Hinkle for more details.
- South Campus now has a blog, helping you to stay on top of all its developments. Please go to www.slpowerandlight.org to find out more.
- The kitchen is now equipped with two, that’s 2, working stoves with ovens! “Thanks” for the project goes specifically to Bill Compton, Mike Hoffman, Dan Hoffman, Dave Geen, Jeff Moyski, Dan Sykes, and Mike Read.
- The Congregational Life group heartily fed over 300 people within the course of a week as they supported two families in grief and raised us up in Holy Week. These are all volunteers - they provided the food, coordinated the assortment, served it and cleaned up afterward. They, in cooperation with Little Saints Preschool and the Tidy Team, disassembled the classrooms, set up the tables and chairs, then reset the classrooms 3 times; cleaned the church before and after each event; and warmly welcomed members and guests to each event. What a beautiful example of cooperation, dedication, and care within our church family! Thanks to all who pitched in with their time, hot dishes, salads, desserts, and beverages.
- The worship teams are now supported by a new and improved sound board and sound tech area due to a generous donation. • Well over 250 people attended services to hear the Little Saints Christian Preschoolers sing on March 3rd in honor of Lutheran Schools week.
- $400 was raised for camp scholarships from the Easter breakfast hosted by All Saints’ own youth and their families.
- $200+ was raised by the Mission Team as a result of their all-you-can-eat-pancake dinner held at the Hartland McDonald’s on March 11th. Thank you for your support!
