Do You Know the Good News?

On February 27th we celebrated the baptism of Kennedy Kretz, daughter of Brian and Angelina Kretz, and little sister to Hunter and Ashley.  Kennedy’s sponsors were Mark Kretz and Lydia Ventura.  We are so blessed to have another family member on the journey with us.  Welcome, Kennedy, to God’s family!

Parish house improvements continue to move forward.  Wondering what might still be needed?  Watch the information counter for updated request lists.  Then, watch right here for the Good News that the improvements have been finished and the Morton family can move in.

Little Saints Christian School held their first ever Art Mart.  This unique event highlighted the art of the students and served as a fun fundraiser for the school.  Apparently the building was packed and fun was had by all.  It was a HUGE success and helped to close out Lutheran Schools week.  The pieces of art were worthy for display at any art museum.

Continued financial good news:  We are steadily improving as the year progresses! 
IF we can keep up this performance, we will be able to prepare for the mortgage return to full payments (November); begin to restore salaries; improve funding of our ministries; and, perhaps, breathe a little easier as we face needed repairs.  We will make our first “adjustment” to the budget in June as we will have 6 months’ experience to work with.

There has been much fellowship going on around All Saints and more still to come.  Within the past months we’ve celebrated Pastor Drex’s installation with a full house for worship and fellowship even in the face of inclement weather.  Additionally we ended our MAKE IT SIMPLE campaign with a well supplied, well received, and well completed Sweets Buffet.  The Congregational Life Chair would like to acknowledge the help of Kevin Hardy, Chuck Stepanian, Julia Keller, the MacDonalds, the Congregational Life team members and anyone else who helped with supplies, set up or tear down.  As always, many hands made light work.

The 4Fs (Fabulous Forties, Fifties, and Fibbers) met recently and had a pleasant evening of fellowship, food, and train dominoes.  The plan had been to ice skate, but alas the weather did not cooperate.  Just goes to show, plans can change, and fun can still be had.  Watch for future outings.
