Transition Team passes the torch to the Call Committee

The last two weeks of April will be the time for your Transition Team’s last event:  Cottage meetings hosted by families all over our wide-spread Congregation’s geographical area, and attended by both Transition Team and newly-appointed Call Committee members.  Soon you’ll see a list going up in the narthex, with opportunities for you to select a family near you on a date that you can make, to attend a pot-luck dinner at your selected family’s home, and have a chance to participate in providing your take on the Values and Principles that make our congregation what it is.  This information, along with the “norms” and the history of our Congregation, will go into the Call Committee’s profile of our congregation that will be used to select our new pastor. 

Hosts are asked to provide a place to gather, eating utensils etc. and a main dish.  Guests are asked to bring side dishes, beverages, dessert.  They are NOT expected to facilitate the discussion - there will be a Transition Team member and a Call Committee member at each gathering.  

You’ll have a chance to reflect on some readings from the Sacred Scripture, share about the work of God in the reading, and then brainstorm on the qualities of the Congregation that drew you to it… and made you stay.  What is it about All Saints that supports your personal and family journey with God?  How do you belong to All Saints?  What’s unique and special about your congregation?
