Do YOU Know the Good News?

Seven (7) youth and Three (3) adults attended the senior high Gathering in Lansing in late December.  Four (4) youth and Two (2) adults attended the junior high Youth Quake in Lansing as well in early January.  The kids had a blast and thank everyone for their support!

We made Disciples!
Two new family members have joined the fold through the celebration of Baptism.  Please make sure to extend a welcome to our newest and youngest disciples:

Joseph Quinn Gravis was brought by Mindi and Jeremy Gravis along with big sister Anna on January 3rd.

Owen Michael Clarey was brought by Denise and Kevin Clarey along with big sisters Lilly and Allison on January 10th.

On January 17th we had two families join us in discipleship.  Please find time to meet and welcome, Cheryl Taylor and the Potter family, Martin, Julie, Angel, and Edgar. 

Cheryl has a heart for jumping in where needed.  To date she has worked with         the Tidy Team, Altar Guild, and Vacation Bible School.  You know a jack-of-all-      trades?  Meet Cheryl and see a Cheryl-of-all-trades who always wears a smile. 

Julie has a heart for gardening, the homebound, and crafting.  Martin has a   heart for property, hunting and most things outdoors.  Angel and Edgar love music and playing.  Find out what they’re fired up about and get fired up.

New things are moving and shaking over at South Lyon Power and Light!  Have you met Pastor Bart Muller yet?  Think Robin Williams meets Martin Luther and that is just the beginning.  Come check it out, any Sunday, 9:10 AM.  They are talking about Sunday School, confirmation, renewed puppet ministry, and new ways to reach out to the community.

Adult Sunday School is studying the Gospel of John- come have fun with us!

Women’s Bible Study, Wednesdays at 10 AM, has 10 women discussing The Shack.  They always have room for more.

Don Papp was the most recent recipient of the WOW award for letting God’s light shine through his tireless and dedicated service on the tidy team and as the keeper of the flag poles out front, just to name a few.
