Do YOU Know the Good News?
We are such a busy and vibrant congregation with so many diverse ministries that it is almost impossible to keep up with all the GREAT things that are constantly going on around her. Here’s what’s been going on recently.
Did you know?
- 13 people were warmly welcomed into membership in January and are enthusiastically plugging into ministries
- The wet end of the kitchen is fully functional. Stop by and see the 2 extremely quiet dishwashers and the gleaming sink!
- Kindness pays off. Apparently a check was received by the church as a thank you offering for a glove that was found in the parking lot
- 17 people attended the first official worship service of All Saints South Campus on December 23rd
- Over 550 people attended worship services on Christmas Eve here at All Saints
- Youth Quake and Gathering were great successes. A record 26 youth attended the Youth Quake in January and came back fired up in their faith. See a picture posted in the south hallway
- Sunday School and Wednesday youth group attendance remains strong and the kids keep bringing their friends!! If you haven’t checked it out lately, drop on by!!
- We kept our lawns mowed and trimmed all summer with volunteers - thereby avoiding the expense of a contract? A total of 17 men shared the work with no one needing to mow more than once - not a single missed assignment all summer!
- We had at least 10 volunteers help tear off the old parish house roof and contracted a friend of the church to install a new one? It was all completed within just two days!
- Around 100 shoppers shopped at our recent Mom2Mom sale, where 26 other moms sold their gently used items to others, earning almost $700 in ministry monies for the Preschool AND your All Saints’ Mission Crew
- The Social Concerns committee is expanding its focus to include more health related issues and now will be known as “Social Concerns and Health Ministry”
- On 9/22/07, 61 people from the community came to All Saints for health screenings, like vascular bone density and stroke screenings, through Life Line Health Screen sponsored by Social Concerns and Health Ministry
- 20 “walkers” from All Saints walked on a beautiful day in the 2007 Crop Walk and raised over $2000 to help the world’s hungry
- Little Saints Christian Preschool (LSCP) enrollment has grown from 7 kids enrolled on the first day of 2006 to opening a third and fourth classroom with 48 kids enrolled as of October 15th 2007
- 11 LSCP parent volunteers have stepped forward to help expand our growing playground area
- Congregational Life has added 4 new members to their ranks recently
