Do YOU Know the Good News?

Gratitude and thanks always come back to you!  This year All Saints via Little Saints Christian Preschool received a letter of thanks from a family that received support and gifts last year.  This family noted how meaningful and helpful this support was to them in helping them get back on their feet.  Praise be to God that their circumstances improved in 2009 and they in turn gave generously back to Little Saints enabling the preschool to help another family in need.  What a great way to “pay it forward”.

Thanks to the congregation for your generous response of support to Chris Cooper and his family.  Chris is just in the early stages of treatment for his stage 4 cancer and will continue to need our prayers, help, and support in 2010.

All Saints’ first ever cookie walk was well received and a great success.  Monies were raised to support the Creative Saints’ outreach projects.  Soup mixes, friendship teas, candy, and (yes) cookies were the offerings.  It was a win/win for everyone!

Bill Johnston was the most recent recipient of the WOW award for letting God’s light shine through his quiet service behind the scenes at the sound board and on the Adopt-A-Road project, just to name a few.

On December 13th the Sunday School put on their annual Christmas program.  Kids from preschool to high school were involved and brought smiles to all present.  They focused on the family scrapbook of God and how it includes us.  Thanks to ALL who assembled to bring us this meaningful and memorable program.

Have you seen the Memorial Garden lately?  A new brick pathway has been laid and further plans continue.  Watch in 2010 for the “buy a brick” program to remember a loved one.

The youth held 2 pancake breakfasts in December.  Great sausage ruled again along with great service and enthusiasm!  Monies were raised for youth events like Gathering, Youth Quake, and camps.  Watch in January for another breakfast to be held BETWEEN the morning services; that means you 8:30 serviceJ

All Saints has “adopted” another congregation to partner and mission with.  In late November the All Saints Mission Team went to Spirit of Hope in downtown Detroit to help pass out food to the homeless and then stayed for worship.  Additionally, All Saints’ congregation was more than generous in collecting coats to take to this mission as well.  This partnership will continue into 2010.
